Amber by the Sea
About Share Purchase… Or Amber in the dead cat house. Po-tay-to, Po-tah-to.
As detailed in this photo write-up, between the time I went location scouting and the time we shot, a cat died inside this abandoned house.
The smell was horrific and, as such, we didn’t stay in this location for more than 10-15 minutes. Ironically, the model was the most disgusted by the cat and she was, by far, the furthest away from it (and on the porch standing in 25-knot winds). On the other hand, I was inside, with no wind to speak of, shooting about five feet away from it. The rest of the people were smart enough to stay outside. Still, this was a good shot we got while there.
As an aside, we gave up on styling Amber’s hair soon after this shoot. Unless we hair sprayed the absolute hell out of it, we never got more than a few minutes of her with nicely styled hair. So, we saved some time and just let it blow in the wind.
