Steve Gursky Sr. and Yvonne Again
About Share PurchaseIdeally what you want when you pair models together is a situation where they A) are working in tandem, or better yet, B) each model is telling his/her own story and the viewer is fascinated by how they overlap. The latter almost never happens. It did, however, with Steve Gursky Sr. and Yvonne.
In this image, the two are playing off one another beautifully. Steve is purposefully dressed down, while Yvonne is in a wonderfully elegant, red ball gown. Keeping the two as distinctly different as possible was always the main focus of the shoot. Later on, when Steve was dressed in a shirt and tie, Yvonne ended up wearing the very undershirt that Steve is wearing in this photo.
Both people belong in this photo, yet the intrigue is in figuring out why. And when you do, please let me know, I haven’t quite figured it out myself.
