Because Riverside Lawn is surrounded by forest preserves on three sides, there is a fair amount of wildlife that you will encounter there. Keeping with the theme of this exhibit, this photo of a fawn isn’t taken in the woods or in a park, but rather in a driveway. You wouldn’t know it to look at it, but this fawn is honestly standing smack dab in the middle of someone’s (unpaved) driveway. The home has been vacant for a little while longer than the others, so the plants there are slightly more overgrown than in other places, but this is a driveway. It’s bad enough thinking about hitting a deer while driving… imagine hitting a deer while parking!
