A Lion King Type of Evening
About Share PurchaseI’ve spoken at length about my inability to come up with good names for my photos. If a photo looks like something, I usually name it that. In the case of this image, it reminded me of The Lion King’s poster. Hence it is named as such.
Unusual weather conditions are my best friend. I rarely shoot anything landscape related during the middle of the day on a perfectly gorgeous May day. If fog rolls in, a storm front come through or, in the case of this photo, the sun sets and turns everything a bright shade of yellow, I’m there.
I don’t know about the hows or whys of this color scheme, I just know it was absolutely glorious for about half an hour. In some of the images I took, I had to actually work to remove color from them because, as it was, they didn’t look real. It’s always a good problem to have when you have to spend an inordinate about of time Photoshopping your photos so that they will look real because the originals just look too fake.
