Several days ago, I posted photos of model Victor Kolyszko with gelled hair and lit in very blue light. This photo is the exact opposite of that. Here Victor has long, styled hair and is lit by white light. Contrary to logic, this photo wasn’t taken (like that movie) on a different day, it was taken about 45 minutes before the ‘blue’ photos. This is what happens when you work with an extremely talented hair stylist like Val Kozlovitser.

Wardrobe changes, different styling and haircuts are just some of the many ways that you can make a four hour photo shoot appear to be shot on a half dozen other days. (And, in this case, Victor didn’t even change his shirt. Shockingly, when not bathed in blue light, it looks much different).

One thing that isn’t readily apparent from this image is that Victor is tall. I mean, really tall. He clocks in over 6’7″. Lighting him is a much different proposition than lighting a 5’9″ model. It was always exciting to see how the lighting setups would look on him. As the shoot progressed, it became apparent that his height actually made things easier. Since he was tall, the margin of error on the lighting was raised considerably. It’s always nice when things are made easier for you!

What size photo do you recommend getting?

When purchasing photos, we recommend that you get the largest size that will fit both your budget and your wall. One large piece tends to be more striking than three smaller pieces.

What type of photo paper do you print on?

All new photos are printed exclusively on Kodak Professional Endura Metallic paper. Sale priced items may be printed on other stock.

What type of frames do you offer?

We offer only one type of frame. A half inch, black metal frame (give or take a 1/8 inch) that looks exactly like the one surrounding the images on this website. All frames are custom made and come standard with acid-free mattes and non-glare glass.
