Couches in the Hallway
About Share PurchaseAll the hallways of the (former) United Memorial Hospital basically looked the same. Some had Ebola specific graffiti, some a few more pieces of broken glass on the ground than others, but there wasn’t a lot to differentiate the hallways, save for one. The fourth floor of the hospital featured a hallway that had a ten foot wide, connected chain of waiting room chair bisecting it. We peaked down the hallway and couldn’t believe it. Someone (or some people) had removed the chairs from their wall moorings, heaved them through a safety glass window and there they were. Better still, they were right next to a bright window so that we could get some light on Lauren Rebecca Roth as she sat on them.
One thing I will point out: the chairs are not parallel to the floor. That isn’t an optical illusion. They were 2-3 inches higher on the left side of the picture than the right. So, in short, the camera is straight, the chairs aren’t
