Edward Scissorhands Village
About Share PurchaseOn the south side of Grand Cayman, there’s a small enclave of houses–I can’t in good conscience call it a subdivision–that are painted bright, vibrant, pastel colors. The houses are notable not just because of this, but because they’re also three stories tall… and seem even taller than that because they’re on a hill. The minute I saw this area, it reminded me of the Edward Scissorhands neighborhood. You can see that here.
What struck me as most odd about this grouping of houses–and there are only about a dozen of them–is that this is the only place on the island that I saw anything like it. That’s not to say that I saw every square inch of the island, but I did see a large percentage of it and this was the only part where I saw houses like this. Naturally, I shot there as much as I humanly could.
