Sears Tower from Chinatown
About Share PurchaseIf I get to Chicago’s Chinatown, it’s usually along the main strip on Wentworth. I haven’t ever really strayed from there and certainly haven’t done so at night. However, on this particular night, I got lost. Normally, that’s the plot of an action movie (ahem, Judgment Night), but here, I got very lucky. I ended up heading west on Cermak and saw this sight to the north. I pulled my car over, grabbed my camera and set up this shot.
It’s an unusual photo in that you don’t often see bright green grass in pictures taken at night. Because of the light emanating from the red field house though, this was precisely what I got. Combined with the lights reflecting on the river, I quickly fell in love with this image. It’s a bright, happy and unique view of the Chicago skyline that I haven’t often seen.
