Window Panes in New Haven
About Share PurchaseI commented on the unique amount of busyness that surrounds the Winchester Factory earlier. What I failed to mention was that, on several sides of the factory complex, there are several new, incredibly beautiful buildings filled with office workers. These new buildings are so close to the Winchester Factory that you can actually hear the phones ringing in them while walking around inside the factory.
In this shot, I saw this gloriously dilapidated set of windows from inside the Winchester Factory. It was about the only chunk of windows I’d seen that didn’t initially appear to have any broken panes. When I looked more closely, I saw that there was one section of a pane missing… and framed perfectly in that missing space were the window panes from the one of the new buildings.
As an aside, I’m pretty sure I could get a job as Wes Anderson’s director of photography based on the strength of this photo.
